Page 1901 "There is but one commandment, and that one is the greatest of all, and that commandment is: Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your Soul, with all your mind and with all your strength.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second commandment is like this first; indeed, it springs directly therefrom, and it is: `You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these; on these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." The first commandment is the only commandment. It is "GOD First". When you put any other thing first, you have broken all the commandments. When you put GOD First, you have obeyed all the commandments. Think, when GOD is foremost in your thought, you do not bear false witness, as an example, you do not covet, as another example. You do not demean, possess intent to harm, or curse another. You bring GOD to the front of your mind and interrupt such temptations with the Love of GOD that is in you. Page 1934 Let your Souls be valiant in defense of the gospel by spirit power. As you allow GOD to think through you, you are cultivating spirit. Spirit is a compelling power that increases your love self to guide your thoughts and feelings, speech and actions. Page 1942 Jesus sought to set the reborn Soul free upon the joyous wings of a new and living spiritual liberty. Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (Bondage being binding influences on self and others.) Page 1944 I do not place any new burden upon your Souls; I bring you new joy and make it possible for you to experience new pleasure in knowing the delights of the bestowal of your heart's affection upon your fellows. I am to experience supreme joy in the bestowal of my affection upon you and your fellows. Page 1949 This new teacher is the Spirit of Truth who will live with each one of you, in your hearts, and so will all the children of light be made one and be drawn toward one another. In this true manner, my Father and I live in the Souls of each one of you and in all who love us and make that love real in their experiences by loving one another, even as I am now loving you. Experience the growth of truth in the Soul and enjoy the liberty of its enlightenment in the mind. Truth is a spiritual reality value witnessed by beings who function upon supermaterial levels of universe consciousness, and who, after the realization of truth, permit its spirit of activity to live and rule within their Souls. In this section, Jesus is raising what is true above Earth mind consciousness, above food, clothing, shelter and invention. Spirit rules over all ideas, concepts, inventions and supplies. As one brings more spiritual evidence into the life stream, that one brings all necessary compliments to Earth life under the auspices of spirit and possess all that is needed to sustain the creature and the Soul self. With this in mind, we are not to worry for GOD knows what we need. Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Luke 10:40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Page 1950 The true cosmic meaning of this rule of universal relationship is revealed only in its spiritual realization , in the interpretation of the law of conduct by the spirit of the Son to the spirit of the Father that indwells the Souls of sentient beings. Note: The Gospel is GOD's Love. When the whole world knows that GOD is love and love is everywhere, here and beyond here, then will the peace and harmony that so many seek will manifest. Many are looking for a tangible GOD without comprehending that GOD Love flows from within. To me, this is the gospel message, the good news. Page 1951 Although this gospel of the kingdom never fails to bring great peace to the Soul of the individual believer, it will not bring peace on Earth until society is willing to believe my teaching wholeheartedly and to establish the practice of doing the Father's will as the chief purpose in living the finite life. I must be divested of this mortal body and be restored to my place on high before I can send this spirit teacher to live in your Souls and lead your spirits into the truth. When my spirit comes to indwell you, he will illuminate righteousness and will enable you to judge wisely in your hearts. The Mind of Christ in your thoughts and feelings. Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Page 1953 I will return as a spirit indweller of each of you and of all other believers in this gospel of the kingdom. In this way the Son of Man will become a spiritual incarnation in the Souls of all true believers. Psalms 68:18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them. Ephesians 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. I believe both of these bible verses. I realized after about 5 years of study that the gift of Christ is for all as stated in the Psalms. If it were for believers only, then others are excluded. The power to rise and believe is in each of us. Believers exercise that inner power. Once exercised through prayer and study, the gift of Christ shines through. It is like this: The gift already is. Believers receive the gift and let the mind of Christ act where they are. Nonbelievers also have the gift but stifle it so that they do not shine. Very often, when the stubborn resistance to the Truth of the Gospel is broken by an unspiritual life, the entity calls for GOD through its own Soul and the path to Christ begins, first from within as stated here, then expressed in a True Christian Character. Page 1954 I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh, that all may choose to receive this new teacher as the guide and counselor of the Soul. As many as do receive shall be enlightened, cleansed, and comforted. This Spirit of Truth will become in them a well of living water springing up into eternal life. Ezekiel 11:19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: The peace of Jesus is the joy and satisfaction of an individual who achieves the triumph of learning fully to do the will of God while living the conscious life. The peace of Jesus' mind was founded on an absolute human faith in the actuality of the divine Father's wise and sympathetic over care. In and through all of these experiences, Jesus enjoyed the comfort of that confidence which ever empowered him to proceed with his life purpose in the full assurance that he was achieving the Father's will. Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: Page 1956 Strive to live peaceably with all, especially your friends in the brotherhood of the heavenly kingdom. And, always remember, strive not with the Souls you would win for the kingdom. This means, do not use force of will. Remember, GOD is gentle. The seed has been planted. Water the seed with Truth, honesty, dignity, integrity and peace. We as will creatures have a tendency to impose our wills on others. This is not the way. Use peace with truth. Page 1958 Whether your ministry be long or short, possess your Soul in patience. As far as is in your power, live long on the Earth that your life of many years may be fruitful in Souls won for the heavenly kingdom. Page 1961 I have taught you much by word of mouth, and I have lived my life among you. I have done all that can be done to enlighten your minds and liberate your Souls, and what you have not been able to get from my teachings and my life, you must now prepare to acquire at the hand of that master of all teachers, actual experience. In all of these new experiences which now await you, I will go before you and the Spirit of Truth shall be with you. The new teacher will reveal to you higher teachings throughout the remainder of your life on Earth and guide you through the eternal ages. Every age is set as the eternal past and eternal future. We are experiencing today what is written in Psalm 68:18 Here, David saw the eternal future and represented it as a current understanding. Likewise, Solomon wrote "there is no new thing under the sun" in Ecclesiastes 1:9. Prophets and those of great spiritual mastery entered into this Christian precept during their time and were endowed with Christ Consciousness before Jesus appeared as an Earthling. They moved into the eternal and were blessed with the high virtues of GOD in spirit and in truth. We and our offspring and our children's children all have the inherent capacity to receive these spiritual gifts and rise into glory as Jesus showed and discussed. No age is without GOD and Spirit. As the past is revealed to us, so is the future, as discussed in the UB. We call these revelations. The eternal past is just as relevant to our understanding in certain situations as the eternal future. It is our destiny to know and understand all things and achieve the glory of our Savior as he has taught us.
