As concerns the planet of your bestowal and the immediate generation of men living thereon at the time of your mortal sojourn, I counsel you to function largely in the role of a teacher. Give attention, first, to the liberation and inspiration of man's spiritual nature. Next, illuminate the intellect, heal the Souls of men, and emancipate their minds. And then, in accordance with your wisdom, minister to the physical well-being and material comfort of your brothers in the flesh. Stoicism: They taught that the Soul of man was divine; that it was imprisoned in the evil body of physical nature. Romans 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? Romans 8:21-23 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. Man's Soul achieves liberty by living in harmony with nature, with God; such virtue is its own reward. Stoicism ascended to a sublime morality, ideals never since transcended by any other system of philosophy. Its followers attune their minds to the harmony of the Universal Mind. St. Paul leaned heavily toward Stoicism when he wrote, "I have learned in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." (Philippians 4:11)

Jeremiah had told of the "law to be written in men's hearts," Jeremiah 31:33 Ezekiel had spoken of a "new spirit to live in man's Soul," Ezekiel 11:19, Ezekiel 36:26 and the Psalmist had prayed that God would "create a clean heart within and renew a right spirit." Psalms 51:10
