Genesis 2:20 - 23 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.Key words in this passage are meet (or mate in some Bibles), rib, bone, and flesh. All are English words from Saxon or Anglican. Mate comes from match which also indicates equality. Rib comes from Latin which becomes side in both Latin and English. Bone indicates firmness which reveals that women have equal strength as men. A strong woman, in this case, possesses equal power of firmness, resolve, and fortitude, especially in matters of spirit and virtue. Flesh is the substance or essence of being or existence. It also indicates mentality or consciousness. Flesh for us Earthlngs is seven layers of skin; flesh for angels or spiritual beings is seven layers of light. Revelations 1:12-13 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
Consciousness evolves the flesh of a thing, such as, Jesus applied conscious energy to provide fruit in water and make it wine. Jesus also provided consciousness to multiply the fish and the loaves, extending the quantity from a few to many, more than what was needed so that all would receive satisfactory sustanance. Here we see that flesh is the essence of the thing itself and as we evolve to be more like GOD, we too shall possess our supply similarly as Jesus and the Disciples of Christ manifested. Let us not forget Moses in these passages in Exodus:
vs. 17:6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. vs. 16:4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or not. vs. 16:15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat. vs. 16:12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God. vs. 16:13 And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. vs. 16:31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey. When we look at relative values of the Soul, we see that we are all from the same source, belonging to or shared by all members of a group. In the following verses, we see the value of social harmony and loss of social harmony when discord pervades social structures.
I Corinthians 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many. I Corinthians 12:19 And if they were all one member, where were the body? I Corinthians 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.Many of the words used in this exegesis are not Hebrew/Aramaic. I have used Webster's Dictionary to find how the words were used during King James' Rule. Soul in English comes from the word "Sol" which has Latin roots. The variant spelling adds an Anglican slant and allows for pundamental factors to enter, giving the idea multiple values. Soul in King James' Bible has 3 meanings: God's Image, Will Power (force or source), and Personal Choices. In the Beginning, Adam chose Eve in deference of God's commandment. As a result, we live our choices each day. As we learn the Soul's attributes, we transform our personal choices to God's choice and cause the Soul to shine out and we re-become our original form (the innocent Adam).
Another example, King James gave us quail. There are no quail in the Middle East. Quail is an European bird used as food. I think that it does not matter whether they ate quail, chicken or pheasant. It matters that GOD is our supply. With other English words used in King James, I find that the values are similar to the Hebrew/Aramaic, enough that the reader can grasp the spiritual ideal and apply it to understanding. Most importantly, King James in his authorized Bible has given us all we need without an exegesis, sharing with us the value of love and prayer, some of which I have included in this website.
