Pageantry 1

Ship Parade

Our pageantry was in ships and the island borders would fill up with citizens as the ships paraded through the waterways between the islands. They would throw flowers, which were cultivated all year long for this procession. As the ships approached the Temple City, we would embark and climb the hill towards the Great Temple and Council Meeting Place. We would parade around the Temple City as the ascent went around the island and people would follow from the other islands, in boats behind the parade. Once on the Plaza of the Great Temple we would face the people and give speeches. We fed everyone and made drink for all.
