Concerning Bible words King James used in his scriptures and their values have evolved into how we use language today. Oftentimes, definitions have changed slightly in some cases, and a lot, in other cases. I tried to avoid using words that were defined after the King James Bible was published. I have also avoided using words that evolved from 17th Century English after the publication in the 1600's.
The whole basis of the Bible is to get us back into the Spiritual Kingdoms. With this in mind, I have used spiritual translations to show that language often has a spiritual counterpart with material senses. I learned that "smote" equals enlightenment among other definitions, and that "slew" means crumble slowly. Similarly, in the destruction of "Sodom and Gomorrah", as it is commonly known, there is a slaughter and that slaughter, as represented in the Bible, took time. There are a couple of battles involving Sodom and Gomorrah before the people succombed to failure, which indicates a slow crumble.
Following is a table that shows 17th Century usage as it relates to Modern English. I present this to cure your understanding of scripture as a tool of spiritual development, and to show that GOD, Light, Love, Spirit and Truth are the eternal values we cultivate for infinte dominion.
