The universe speaks n many languages but only one voice; the voice speaks in the language of hope, it speaks in the language of trust, it speaks in the language of strength and the language of compassion. It is the language of the heart, and the language of the Soul. Always it is the same voice, the voice of our ancestors speaking through us, and the voice of our inheritors, waiting to be born. It is the small still voice that says we are one, no matter the blood, no matter the skin, no matter the world, no matter the star, we are one, no matter the pain, no matter the darkness, no matter the loss, no matter the fear, we are one, here, gathered together in common cause, we agree to recognize this singular truth and this singular rule, that we must be kind to one another, because each voice enriches us and ennobles, and each voice lost (ignored) diminishes us. We are the voice of the universe, the soul of creation, the fire that will light the way to a better future. We are one.

Be able to go inside under all circumstances, even waiting to go into battle, without falling asleep. Anyone can learn to meditate in silence.
I choose to share you with the universe.
We create the meaning in our lives. Living each moment as if it were your last. It means doing each right thing because it is the right thing. The scale doesn't matter. The where, the when, the how, or in what cause, none of those things matter. Here is the greatest truth I know. Your death will have meaning if it comes while you are in the fullest pursuit of your heart.
We choose to do that which frightens us, knowing that there are no guarantees. At the end, we all stand alone.

The Ragged Edge
They would like you to speak to them. I have nothing to say to them. I turned down the chance to become ruler of our world and I never once looked back because it is not my place in life to lead. A long time ago, I told you that you had an unfair advantage over me. I carry my sword in my hand. But you, you carry your sword in your heart, where no one can take it from you. I have an obligation and honor to use mine, do you not share that obligation to use yours? To what end, I have nothing to teach them. For a hundred years we have taught ourselves to do one thing, how to hate and how to fight. This is a new age. We have to learn other lessons. You have been beyond and survived it and have come back to teach us what it is like. I have seen the light of understanding come into the eyes of our people. It's not about teaching something. It's about unlearning hatred and unlearning fear. I am a warrior, I cannot teach them these things. But you can. All my life, I have been responsible only for myself. When I risked, I risked alone, to avoid making others pay the price for mistakes. They want me to show them another way. What if I show them the wrong way. What if they come to me not because of the lesson but because of the teacher. I worry that my shadow may become greater than the message. We both have our burdens to bear, I will carry mine if you will carry yours.
We must reach a point where the nobility of intellect asserts itself and say we need not be afraid of those who are different. We can embrace that difference and learn from it. Over time I learned, as you will learn. I must help you come closer to the thoughts of the universe.

There comes a moment in everyone's life, when you have to do something you'd rather not do, when you know something you'd rather not know, this is one such moment. So it is with great difficulty and great personal pain that we stand before you now, In exchange for your patience and cooperation we gave you our word that as soon as we found conclusive evidence, we would bring it before you and pursue it fully, no matter where it led. We promised that we would support you, our members, on any action that you decided should be taken in light of these results. Now that we know that it is one of our members, that promise weights heavily upon us. We have an obligation to honor that promise, and we will no matter the cost.
What does the candle represent. Life. All Life. Every life. We are all born as molecules in the hearts of a billion stars, molecules that do not understand politics or policies or difference. Over a billion years, we foolish molecules forget who we are and where we came from. The flame reminds us of the piece of those stars that live on inside us. The spark tells us: you should know better. It also tells us that life is precious.

The Wheel of Fire
Nobody gets a 100% right. There is no normal life. It's just life. I need you. You can be a huge help to me and I can help you. I want this more than anything in my entire life. I'm offering you love and compassion. Simpler to make a statue of someone who you believe embodies all your better qualities than actually improve yourself. It saves you from having to think. The simple truth is that we are one. Once they make a statue of you, you are no longer who you are. You can only be what they want you to be and do what they expect of you.
Life is change. It's a good thing.

In order to help our people here and at home one must be both warrior and priest. You may believe you are not ready, but you are as ready as I was when I first came here. They will receive you as they have received me.
Serve our people reasonably, fairly and with honor.. The rest will attend to itself.
Some words always come easier to me. The most difficult is goodbye. There is no corresponding word in my language. Excuse me if I do not say goodbye. Our souls are a part of this place, our hopes, the foundation of our future and we will pass this way again.
Always doing what you are told does not give you much freedom for self exploration, for you are thinking along the lines of those that direct your thoughts into service.
We will put our best face on this. We will go in with smiles and confidence.
On a joyous day like this, how can I not be here to celebrate.
